Taylor Swift new world tour
Soaring pop mega-star Taylor Swift this morning announced her new, 1989 World Tour slated for summer 2015.
The roadshow spans five months of North American dates and is slated for dozens of arenas and stadiums, including a stop at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford July 11. Swift, a seven-time Grammy winner, played the Meadowlands last in summer 2012, on her Red World Tour.
A Philadelphia date, June 13 at Lincoln Financial Field, was also announced.
The tour kicks off on May 20, 2015 in Louisiana and finishes Oct. 31 in Tampa, Fla. before likely heading overseas.
Tickets go on sale Nov. 14 at 9 a.m. on Ticketmaster.
The news comes less than a week after Swift's frantically anticipated album, "1989," was released and almost instantly became the year's top-selling album. The record is forecast to sell 1.3 million albums in its opening week, the biggest since rapper Eminem's "The Eminem Show" in 2002, Billboard.com said.
